DURIAN


Durian is the most favorite fruit in West Kalimantan. It's taste is sweet and it's shape is sticky and soft. Durian has a special smell that is very thick. Some people dislike that smell, however, the durian enthusiasts still more numerous. Durian mostly contain carbohydrates, fats and proteins.

GRASS JELLY (CINCAU)


You have to ever drunk “Es Cincau”! Yes, everybody knows this kind of  drink, but did you know where the cincau jelly comes from? Cincau jelly is made from a kind of shrubs, it’s Latin name is Mesona Chinensis.  The process to make it become jelly is not difficult. Firstly, take some mesona’s stalks and leaves,then wash them with clean water. After that,  boil the stalks and leaves with enough salt  and a little starch in boiling water  for several hours. The last step is cooling the liquid until become a jelly.

CHINESE NOODLES


Do you like noodles? Yeah, everybodies love noodles. There are three kinds of noodles in West  Borneo that are commonly sell on eateries , we can distinguish their kinds by see their main ingredients; what they are made from. Wheat noodles, rice noodles, and sago noodles are three kinds of noodles in West Borneo. The most favorite of them is noodles that made from wheat.

SPICY IS DELICIOUS

Almost people in West Borneo love spicy food, we are different with Javanese people that love sweet taste for every kinds of their food. Every food in West Borneo  are mostly spicy. Chillies are very  popular, not only given directly into the food in the cooking process, but also served as “sambal” to accompany the main food.

CUCUR (TUMPI')

Have you ever ate a round sweet cake almost like dorayaki in Doraeamon Anime? But it is a little chewy and oily, yeah, it is a cucur. Cucur is the traditional cake in West Borneo, especially in Dayaknese, they will serve cucur in every special moments or their great days. Cucur’s taste is very humble, only sweet and oily, but cucur still popular to eat, the fibers that formed at the edges of cake are crispy , and the brown sugar flavor in cucur is very yummy.

TEMPOYAK


Tempoyak is the unique food from west borneo because it from durian fruit. It usually we eat with warm rice, Tempoyak usually we fried with tiny fish or we can eat it first we boiled them mix with belidak fish. It is good for dinne with your family, It is traditional food.

Telur Dadar Isi Daging

Dadar telur isi daging or meat omelette is delicious food, it is easy to make and cheap. You only provide some eggs and meat such as: chicken or beef , first you mix them and give little flavor, second, you fry them become omelette. This is very easy and delicious,,,please try it at home.

SUKUN SNACK


Sukun is traditional snack from Indonesia, It easy to make and to find in your life. If you want to make it, first provide a sukun fruit and cut it become triangle form. Second, you should give flavor such as: salt, pepper, and petsin mix them to pieces of sukun fruit. Third, put oil on wok and fry them all. that's all the way to make sukun snack. you can try it at home and enjoy it with your family when you are watching Television.

PECEL AYAM


Pecel ayam is very popular and delicous food from indonesia especially Lamongan. This food always sell on the roadside or streetside. Pecel ayam is the Indonesian's KFC or traditional KFC. It consist of fried chicken, rice, chili and some fresh vegetables such as; cucumber, cabbage and basil. It is cheap you can eat it for your dinner with your friend and family.

Dadar Gulung


Dadar gulung is familiar meal in our country. Dadar gulung is very easy to find i such as; canteen in your school or your campus. It is delicious, chewy, and sweet because there is sweet  grated coconut. The Dadar gulung has  colored roll usually  green color. You should to buy and to eat it because it is cheap.

AMPLANG SNACK

 
Amplang snack is popular snack from Ketapang City as we know Ale-ale city in West Borneo . It made from belidak, and tenggiri fish. It has teh unique form and cream colored. It is very delicious, crispy and smooth sensation in your smooth. You can buy in mall or minimarket in your city but the original one if you buy in Ketapang City is more delicious.

BATAGOR

Batagor is the typical food from Bandung. Batagor Baso is an abbreviation of fried Tofu, with its basic ingredients are made from out of white dough which is then given a mackerel fish, shrimp and tapioca, served hot, with spicy peanut sauce and sweet soy sauce is very thick and is usually given lime juice .
Early on, the sales start in the region batagor Kopo by Isan in 1973, so famous for Batagor Isan, then a few years later batagor more and more entrepreneurs, there are even restaurants that specifically rely on the meals were Batagor. Lately in almost every place of snacks (food court) is available batagor

BUBUR PEDAS

Bubur Pedas, One for Traditional Foods Derived From Sambas regency. Bubur pedas is that it's not very spicy but only the name which, according to language Sambas spicy porridge is mixed between a material with its other ingredients.

And Bubur Pedas is made from Traditional Foods Ferns, Leaves Turmeric, Leaves Kesum (language Sambas her) if her Indonesian is not found yet, heheh, kept usually in mixed corn as well, sprouts, or can be nuts, and fish, while seasoning - among other ingredients can be in love pepper, salt, flavorings, which has been in the grated coconut then fried without oil, and fried rice on well without oil, orange as its complement.

LEMPOK DURIAN (THE DURIAN DODOL) PONTIANAK


This time we will glance at a typical hawker Pontianak city, one of which is "Lempok". GADO-GADO

RISOLES

Risoles is a traditional cake originating from wheat flour as the skin and have the contents of potatoes and vegetables are carrots, which can be combined with chicken or meat (optional). KERANJANG CAKE

Have you ever heard Keranjang cake? Or do you like to eat Keranjang cake? Every year in Imlek Ceremony (Happy Chinese New Year) is incomplete if there is no Keranjang cake. The Keranjang cake is a traditional cake and a feature of Imlek ceremony which symbolize Prosperity. Many people said that to make this cake was very difficult and exhausted. Although this cake is very difficult to be made, it is always to be a favorite one, because this cake is very delicious with its chewy sensation. I am sure you curious how hard it is and how the process to make this cake so here there are several ways how to make Keranjang cake.

The first is kibbling, which we kibble the sticky rice with the rice mill. We kibble the sticky rice mix with water to make them easily become flour. In this process we kibble the sticky rice until they become soft flour.

BURGER

Burger rich in carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. This is food that matches the taste of the tongue Indonesian society. It was a delicious burger popular across the country.
